RallyPointPC LLC ("RallyPointPC," "we," "us," or "our") runs this website and a mail-in PC building and repair service. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the site and our services, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. By using the site or submitting a ticket, you acknowledge this policy. Our Terms of Service cover the service itself.
We collect only what we need to quote, build, repair, and ship your PC, and to run the Rally Rewards program.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We use the following providers to run the site. Each handles your information only to provide its service to us, and each has its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect our rights or safety or those of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business. In that case we will require the new owner to honor this policy.
A computer you mail us may hold personal files, photos, and logins. We access the contents of a device only as far as needed to do the work you asked for, such as testing that it boots and runs, or completing a software setup you requested. We do not copy your personal files. Please back up your data and sign out of your accounts before shipping, as our Terms of Service also advise.
Plausible Analytics does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites. The site itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage is used for three things: keeping you logged in to your Rally Rewards account, remembering a referral code or a service you picked until you finish signing up, and remembering if you closed the "install the app" banner. To load quickly and work offline, the site and the RallyPointPC app also save copies of our public pages, styles, and images on your device. They never save your account, tickets, or photos this way. You can clear all of this at any time in your browser settings. Clearing it will log you out.
Ticket alerts are off unless you turn them on in your account. If you do, your browser or phone gives us a unique delivery address for that device, which we store with your account. We use it only to send notices about your own tickets, such as when work starts, when your order ships, or if a ticket is cancelled. These alerts are delivered through your device maker's push service (Apple, Google, Mozilla, or Microsoft, depending on your device). The alert text is encrypted on its way to your device and says only that your ticket changed. It contains no name, address, or tracking number, so nothing private shows on your lock screen. Logging out removes that device from your account. You can also turn alerts off in your account or in your device's notification settings at any time.
Reviews are checked before they go live. When a review is published, your name, rating, review text, and any photos you attached appear publicly on the site. Your email address is collected so we can verify the review. It is not displayed and cannot be read by other visitors. Please do not include personal details such as your phone number or address in a review or in a photo.
Photos you attach to a build ticket are stored in a private area of our storage provider. Only RallyPointPC can open them, and only through short-lived links. Photos must be common image types (JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC) and up to 10 MB. Before a photo is uploaded, the site removes the hidden data your phone stores in it, such as location, device model, and the time it was taken, and resizes it. Review photos are only accepted once that data is removed; if your browser can't process a build-ticket photo, the original is sent to our private storage instead. Please do not upload photos that show personal documents, screens with private information, or other people.
We keep ticket and payment records for as long as we need them to provide the service, honor the warranty, resolve disputes, and meet tax and accounting obligations. We keep account information until you ask us to delete the account. Marketing contacts stay on our list until you opt out. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove what identifies you.
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls to protect your information. No website or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, email us right away.
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, including deleting your account. You can also opt out of marketing emails at any time, either with the unsubscribe link in any message or by emailing us. Email
[email protected] from the address on your account and we will respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days. We may keep information we are legally required to keep, such as payment records, and will tell you if that applies.Depending on where you live, such as California and several other states, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. We will consider a request from you wherever you live.
Our site and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision. If we make a significant change, we will post a notice on the site.
